Herbal Medicine for the Integrity of Bodies, Hearts, Minds, and Spirits.
Holistic Consultations
One-on-one holistic consultations to support your individualized health goals and concerns.
While I specialize in generative/reproductive/hormonal care, all are welcome in my practice. I work with folks of all genders, sexualities, ages, and family structures to support balanced menstrual cycles, conception and fertility, hormone regulation, and pregnancy/postpartum.
My passion is supporting queer folks and solo parents by choice on their pregnancy journey, supporting folks through miscarriage and pregnancy loss, and supporting folks in choosing not to stay pregnant.
Folks seeking support for fertility, conception, pregnancy loss, pregnancy release, or other time-sensitive matters who cannot find a time that works for them, please email me for more availability.
All appointments are held virtually. All of my care is available on a sliding scale.
I offer one-on-one health consultations and individually designed herbal formulas. My care is grounded, compassionate, evidence-based, and holistic. I know that each of my clients knows their body and their experiences best, and I weave that wisdom with my training in midwifery, herbs, physiology, and somatics to assess patterns of imbalance and recommend strategies towards balance. I’m committed to meeting folks where they are at, and supporting them to build towards their goals. Together, we’ll form a partnership on a path toward better health and well-being. We’ll discuss self-care strategies that work for you, like diet, movement, practices, and rituals, and I’ll create herbal formulas unique to you in this moment.

“T is a truly gifted herbalist and teacher. After attending their (super impactful) course on herbal medicine, I asked for support moving through grief and burnout. They sent me some things and I felt immediate changes in my body and in my heart which continued throughout the following months. I have always been humbled by the power of herbs, but these medicines felt sweet and potent and also were somehow delicious. I can’t recommend T enough and hope everyone can someday get to have such a positive experience in their care. ”
Holistic Consultations on a Sliding Scale
My consultations are always on a sliding scale to make herbal medicine accessible to as many folks who want it. Folks who have access to wealth and resources are invited to pay at the higher end of the scale to sustain financially accessible herbal care. A sliding scale works when the high and low ends are balanced, so I thank you in advance for your support. Please get in touch if you have other access needs or for inquiries about trade and barter.
Initial Consultation: 90 minutes $75 - $150
When we meet, we’ll have an in-depth conversation about your health concerns, as well as your visions and goals. Each initial consultation takes around 1.5 hours and includes a holistic health history and assessment with focus on your personal health goals and challenges. Together, we’ll come up with an individualized plan for self-care, including herbs, nutrition, supplements, movement, somatic practices, and rituals. After our consultation, you’ll receive a written recommendation plan and herbal formulas designed just for you, which you can purchase from me or source yourself. You’ll need to complete an intake form before your appointment.
Follow-up Consultation: 60 minutes $55 - $75
I recommend that clients schedule a follow up about a month after their initial consultation. Depending on the circumstance, clients tend to follow up monthly for the first 3 months, and then seasonally, or as needed. At each follow-up visit, we revisit and revise your goals, formulas, and strategies to adapt and change with your body and circumstances.
“Tessa was the first herbalist I ever worked with, and I really appreciated how “natural” it felt. I was anxious going into the first consultation; I don’t tend to open up to new folks, including new providers, about my gender identity and/or mental health in such a comprehensive way. I felt so comfortable right off the bat and thus I was able to open up about these areas of my life which inherently tie into my overall health and wellness... making it a more authentic experience. Tessa had a wonderful way of making me feel really comfortable as well as heard, seen, and subsequently supported. ”
Herbal Formulas
I create individualized herbal formulas for each client from herbs in my apothecary. These may be tincture, powder, or tea, depending on your needs and preferences. The amount of herbs I recommend depends on your health concerns, lifestyle, and finances, and will always be a living conversation. Most people end up with a tea blend and a tincture that varies between 4 and 10oz per month, per formula.

**Herbal consultations are not to be used instead of medical advice. I am not a doctor and do not diagnose, treat, or cure illness. Herbs that you receive from me are based on recommendations and are not a replacement for prescriptions or pharmaceuticals. All herbs I recommend are assessed for safety (if pregnant or on medication), but clients are recommended to do their own research.
If you’d like to refill your custom formula, please do so here by choosing the custom refill option and choosing your size. Please update your shipping address as needed. You may also (always) email me for herb refills.
About Sliding Scale
I love what Kelly McCarthy writes about sliding scale; here are her guidelines for where to pay on the scale.
Consider paying less on the scale if you:
are supporting children or have other dependents
have significant debt
have medical expenses not covered by insurance
are eligible for public assistance
have immigration-related expenses
are an elder with limited financial support
are an unpaid community organizer
are a returning citizen who has been denied work due to incarceration history
experience discrimination in hiring or pay level
are descended from enslaved people or Native American Indians (I recognize that much of my privilege has come at the expense of these communities)
Consider paying more on the scale if you:
own the home you live in
have investments, retirement accounts, or inherited money
travel for recreation
have access to family money and resources in times of need
work part time or are unemployed by choice, including unemployment due to full-time school in a degree-earning program
have a relatively high degree of earning power due to level of education (or gender and racial privilege, class background, etc.) Even if you are not currently exercising your earning power, I ask you to recognize this as a choice.
For follow up consultations, acute consultations, and herbs pay what you feel you are able.

“It can’t be overstated the way Tessa’s formula/care catapulted me out of DEEP depression. And held me in a different mental place. I feel like the script of my life got rewritten. I found myself looking forward to taking my formulas, especially the tasty heart remedy. I found both stability and the possibility of ascension too.
I love working with Tessa because I feel seen. I know they can pick up on my subtleties and have often reframed my own self assessments with more gentle language or kinder interpretations.”
